Next month 46 students from Years 6-12 will pack their passports for the inaugural ANZAC Music and Languages Tour to France and Flanders, in Belgium. The Tour will firstly visit France where the students will perform a concert in Paris and also visit a number of locations with a significant historical significance to Australians including Amiens, Bullecourt, Fromelles, and Pozieres. The Tour will then continue to Ypres in Belgium, where students will perform at the famous Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate before the Tour’s final performance at the Dawn Service in the cemetery at Polygon Wood on ANZAC Day.
In the lead up to this tour, our Music department will present two concerts for local audiences, and we encourage everyone in our School Community to attend and show their support for our students at one (or both!) of the following two events:

• Sunday March 26 from 2pm at St Paul’s Cathedral, Sale
• Wednesday April 5 from 6.30pm at the Chapel of St Anne, Garnsey Campus.

Entry to both concerts is ‘by donation’ and members of our wider Gippsland community are most welcome to attend. For further information please contact the Gippsland Grammar Music Centre on 5143 6381 or email music@gippslandgs.vic.edu.au
